Keane are "nearly done" working on their third album say the band, after taking some time out following the release of 2006's 'Under The Iron Sea'.
The new songs were recorded in Paris and Berlin, with producer Jon Brion and new bassist / guitarist Jesse Quinn.
Although a tracklisting hasn't been revealed so far, song titles that are expected to feature are 'Playing Along', 'Black Burning Heart' and 'Perfect Symmetry'.
Pianist Tim Rice-Oxley also described another untitled track as "a lovely song we're trying to do in a kind of Mercury Rev-type of way. It's begging to burst into some kind of 'Only Living Boy in New York'-style extravaganza at the end."
No release date has been decided upon yet, but Keane should release the album in late 2008.
